MELT – Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of MELT, provided by Bell Studios (“we”, “us”). By using MELT you agree to these Terms.
Eligibility
MELT is designed for ages 18+ (or the minimum age in your country, if applicable). MELT is built for users who can engage in structured self-reflection, which may be more challenging for younger users.
Account & Tiers
- Free: no message storage.
- Mirror: stores lightweight metadata only (no full messages).
- Mind: stores full threads so you can revisit sessions.
You may use MELT anonymously or link your account for sync across devices. You are responsible for activity under your account.
Acceptable use
- No illegal activity, harassment, exploitation, or attempts to break or abuse the service.
- No automated scraping or rate-limit evasion.
- No uploading harmful code.
Content & AI outputs
You retain rights to your inputs. AI outputs are generated results provided “as is” for your personal use. Do not rely on outputs for medical, legal, or safety-critical decisions.
Not therapy / crisis care
MELT is not a medical device, is not therapy, and does not provide crisis intervention. If you are in danger or considering self-harm, call local emergency services or your national hotline immediately.
Payments
If you subscribe via the app stores, billing, trials, renewals, and cancellations are handled by Google Play / Apple’s terms. Features may change; we may change prices with notice.
Privacy
Please see our Privacy Policy for how we handle data.
Service changes
We may modify or discontinue features. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
Disclaimers
MELT is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bell Studios will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or loss of data or profits.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the laws of your state of residence, without regard to conflicts of laws rules.
